Ted, The shed looks great.
-- Thanks, Kim M. Haymarket, Virginia --

Hi Ted,
Please let me thank you and your staff for doing such a fine job on our shed (although "shed" hardly does it justice). It is quite attractive, very functional, and according to the building inspector, constructed extremely well. He made it a point to tell Mrs. Gilbert what a fine job it was, and how much better it was than those which he was accustomed to seeing. He also wanted to know whose work it was, so we were pleased to inform him that the Outdoor Home Center was responsible for the entire project.

I know that you had to invest extra time and effort in complying with Fairfax County's requirements, and appreciate your personal involvement and sound advice which ensured that we would be delighted with the finished product. I would also be remiss were I not to mention the speed and cleanliness with which it was built, which were, to me, remarkable and first-class.
-- K. Gilbert, Alexandria, Virginia --

Ted,
My husband and I absolutely love our new shed. You were recommended to us and our friends were truly correct in doing so. We will be sure to thank them for the recommendation as we are thanking you now for the wonderful construction, design, effort, skill, and quality that you put into making our new shed so perfect. We love the windows and the flower boxes built just below them. I love to garden and it really adds to the look. Also with the siding, the doors, the shutters and the windows the way you've made them, it really looks like a mini portion of our home and adds to the overall value and look of our property. We cannot thank you enough.

Why build a shed?

Having a shed not only raises the value of your home, but it is a significant tool in helping to organize your home, garden, or even garage. It is always helpful to have an extra place to put things. Possibly your garage has just a little too much in there in order to fit your car, or two cars in a two car garage. By adding a shed you can move enough items into it to make room for vehicles. Also it makes room for gardening equipment, lawnmowers, fertilizer machines, bags of dirt and all other lawn and gardening essentials. By storing them all in a convenient shed you can really reduce clutter in your yard and do it in an attractive way.

What type of shed do I need?

There are many things to consider when thinking about a shed purchase. If you're going to spend time and money on a shed, design should matter. A good rule of thumb would be to bring all items you'd plan to put into the shed and place them in the yard somewhere in a rectangular shape. This will give you an idea of what size shed you need, or even what shape. You'll want it to be large enough that you don't have to move several things out of the way each time in order to get to a larger piece of equipment in the back. You'll also need to consider the size of the door to make sure it is large enough for your largest items to fit through.

What special features should I consider?

There are many, many special features to consider. To best go over all of these features you should stop by or schedule an appointment with either Ted Hiller or Colin Young. You can also request an appointment by Clicking Here.

Those are just some of the many questions you can discuss with us either in person or over the phone.
